Taking A Reiki Class

Reiki classes are everywhere; they are taught in new age bookstores, at nursing and massage school, in private homes, and even on the Internet. Classes vary in cost and form. Finding the right class and right teacher can be challenging, but with a little effort, anyone can find the right Reiki class for them.

The Benefits of a Live Reiki Class

The ability to channel healing energy through your palms is something everyone possesses. The difference between Reiki and other systems of palm healing is that the practitioner becomes attuned to the energy which comes through the crown chakra, down to the heart chakra and out of the palms. This system of healing is inherently protective to the practitioner. It is not the practitioner's energy that is going to the client (or themselves), it is universal life energy, or spiritually directed life energy. This does not deplete the practitioner's own energy and it helps to protect them from absorbing their client's energy.

What To Expect At A Reiki Class

Last month I had a woman with a slightly scared look on her face, "do I have to become a vegetarian and mediate two hours a day before I join your class?" "No" I answered, a bit confused. "How about prayer, do I need to pray before Reiki and do I need to wrap myself in white light to protect my energy?" she whispered. "Uhh, no. Who told you all this?"
