When you are achieving your attunement the life force energy must be passed from a Reiki master on to the student. This is like an initiation of sorts. You must learn in the basic level how to control your life force energy and pass it to others for purposes of healing going through each level. Once you reach master you can teach others to use Reiki as well as teach it.
Reiki 1- a person learns to become open to the universal life force energy around them. They use the master to teach them how to attune with the energy they are given once this is achieved it will stay with them.
Reiki 2- In this level the Attunement will give you stronger life force energy. It also gives 3 symbols in this Attunement:
The Power Symbol- This symbol has many meanings in Reiki. The “Choku Rei” means “Place the power of the universe here” many who practice Reiki use this symbol for many things such as:
Protection
Increase the power of the other symbols
Keep away negative feelings
Increase your ability to channel universal life force energy
The power symbol is a strong symbol and simply drawing or visualizing the symbol can increase your life force energy.
The Mental Symbol- This symbol is used for purification and cleansing. It will direct the energy to your emotional and mental plains. The mental symbol is also known as “SEI HE KI”.
The Distance Symbol- The distance symbol gives you the ability to heal over time and distance. It is also known as “Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen” Meaning “No Past, no present, and no future”.
Some uses of the distance healing symbol are:
To send healing over far distances
To tap into past, present and future energies for healing purposes
To understand and release past traumas or emotions
Reiki 3- Master level
To achieve master level you must have it bestowed upon you by a Reiki master. The master level greatly increases your ability to connect to the universal life force energy. It will allow you to teach it to others and initiate the Reiki master level to others. One symbol is added at this level.
The Master Symbol- The master symbol or “Dai Koo Myo” Means “Enlightenment”. The master symbol has many uses and it given in the last level of Reiki. It stands for spiritual Connection or universal connection. It also gives the attuned increased intuition and creativity.

Sparking Creativity

Mastering the three levels of Reiki will enhance your overall well being and bring you prosparity peace, and health in your life.
